Bringing diversity and representation to figure skating and building self-confidence in girls with Figure Skating in Harlem

As an early funder of Figure Skating in Harlem, we are proud to see the growing success of their program, which provides young women of color with a space to build confidence, nurture academic success and use figure skating as a vehicle to understand themselves and the world around them. The initiative began in 1997 and has evolved to serve over 170 girls between the ages of 6 and 18. Click here to read their profile in The New York Times’ Style Section and learn more about how this incredible organization is building community and increasing diversity to a sport that is often considered inaccessible due to high costs.
