We’re deeply disappointed with today’s Supreme Court ruling against reproductive freedom in the Trump vs. Pennsylvania case.
Allowing employers to opt out of the Affordable Care Act’s birth control mandate denies women, especially those in underinvested communities where contraceptive care is already difficult to attain, the ability to make imperative decisions affecting their personal health.
At our core, we recognize the fundamental authority and necessity of women to control their health and sexual and reproductive rights. The Foundation will continue to fight for women’s rights, meeting these challenges head on until we see real and enduring change.
Through our funding initiatives and grantee partners, The Foundation is committed to advocating on behalf of a woman’s well-being and will continue to partner with communities in order to advance gender equity.
