The New York Women’s Foundation is proud to stand in solidarity with asylum seekers by joining the New York City Council and partners in a $2.2 million collective commitment to supporting those on the frontlines who are rapidly responding to this crisis. Philanthropic and nonprofit organizations joining us in the Welcome NYC public-private partnership include The New York Community Trust, The Bronx Community Foundation, Brooklyn Community Foundation, Robin Hood Foundation, New York Immigration Coalition, United Way New York City, and more.
Immigration justice is gender, racial, and economic justice. We’re grateful and proud to support local, community-based organizations who have stepped up to provide culturally and linguistically competent direct support for the most vulnerable, including women and families, LGBTQ+ individuals, survivors of violence, and young people.
